LA Erupts in Celebration as Los Angeles Dodgers Secure Back-to-Back World Series Victory
The City of Angels witnessed citywide festivities after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Supporters worldwide united with local residents in jubilation, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Draws Massive Crowds
Local celebrations featured a downtown parade on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Social media videos depict countless of Angelenos packing downtown streets, many displaying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The team was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the crowds, hoisting the championship trophy high.
“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to do this,” Shohei Ohtani stated through an translator.
The procession path concluded at Dodger Stadium, where the players emerged to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ spinning music and the artist driving a light blue classic car around the field.
