Devoted followers of the pop star are calling for that a person who leaped a barrier and grabbed the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be detained or removed from Singapore.

A circulating clip shows the Australian man shoving aside photographers and rushing toward Grande while the actors walked down a promenade flanked by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the event by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being arrested", though official papers revealed that he was scheduled to attend court on the next day. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed includes videos of him disrupting other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney performance in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last winter.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," commented an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user wrote.

Followers Show Disapproval Over the Star's Past Trauma

Many fans criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said another comment on Instagram.

A number of supporters also questioned security officers at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while some demanded digital services to remove Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande seemed startled when she was approached by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.
